WHEN THE FIRE FELL 6/21/26
Welcome to Week 2 of our sermon series, “The Book of Acts.”
In this message, “When The Fire Fell,” we continue in Acts 2:1–21, where the promise Jesus gave in Acts 1 becomes a reality. The disciples waited, prayed, and surrendered — and on the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came with power.
The fire fell, the Church was born, and everything changed.
This message reminds us that God’s fire falls on surrendered people, not perfect people. The Holy Spirit filled every believer in the room, proving that God’s power is not reserved for a few — it is for all who believe.
The fire was never meant to stay in the room. It was given so the world could encounter Jesus.
When the fire falls, fear leaves and boldness rises. The same Peter who denied Jesus stood up and preached with power. If God can transform Peter, He can transform us too.
As we come to Communion, we remember that before Pentecost, there was Calvary. Before the Spirit was poured out, the blood of Jesus was poured out.
Everything begins and ends with Jesus.
