ACTS – “From the Water to the World” | Acts 8:26–40

Baptism is a powerful moment—but it isn't the finish line.

In Acts 8, Philip encounters an Ethiopian official on a desert road. One conversation leads to an encounter with Jesus, a surrendered heart, and a simple question: “Look! There’s some water! Why can’t I be baptized?”

His response reminds us that when Jesus changes your life, obedience doesn't have to wait.

Baptism is a public declaration that the old life is gone, our sins are forgiven, and our identity is now found in Christ. But the story doesn't end when we come out of the water. We come out with a mission.

As we celebrate those taking this step of faith, we're reminded that every follower of Jesus has been called to carry the Gospel beyond the water—to our families, workplaces, neighborhoods, and wherever the Holy Spirit leads.

We haven't only been saved. We've been sent.
